Wachesaw Plantation Club is classic Lowcountry: ancient live oaks, Spanish moss and a peaceful waterfront, all wrapped in genuine southern hospitality. The club was founded in 1985 and sits within the historic Wachesaw Plantation gated community in Murrells Inlet. As a Myrtle Beach wedding photographer, I love how the oaks and the water give portraits a classic feel without ever making them stiff.
About Wachesaw Plantation Club Weddings
Wachesaw Plantation Club is at 1930 Governors Landing in Murrells Inlet. Ceremonies can take place outdoors under a stunning ancient oak overlooking the water, and while guests enjoy cocktail hour, there is time to explore the grounds for portraits. Evening receptions are held in the grand ballroom or in a marquee on the lawn, and both have space for up to 250 guests.
Catering and bar service are provided exclusively on-site by the club’s culinary team and bartenders.

Aerianna and Mark’s portraits are a great example of what the grounds at Wachesaw Plantation Club can do. Aerianna carried a lush bouquet of deep pink and burgundy blooms with soft greenery that stood out against the green grass and her white gown.
We moved between the open lawn, the moss-draped oaks and the edge of the water. A twirl on the grass, a kiss under the hanging moss, a forehead kiss with her veil catching the breeze and a quiet moment by the water all came together in one easy walk. Their portraits feel classic without getting stiff, and the soft light made everything glow.
